It’s the inspiration for stand-out song “I Am The Big Easy,” Ray’s powerful tribute to the resilience of the people of that city. It’s an emotional salute to the place he called home for half a decade and guest vocalist Eliza Gilkyson’s honey-toned backing sweetens the Bonneville groove. Gilkyson also backs on the notable “Carry The Fallen,” a dark portrait focusing on war’s damaging consequences and emotional losses - another personal subject for Bonneville who is infact a Vietnam War veteran.
